A quartz banger (or quartz nail) is the dish on a dab rig where concentrate is vaporized. Quartz heats evenly, holds temperature and keeps flavor clean, which is why it is the standard for dabbing. The right banger comes down to three things: joint size (10mm or 14mm), joint gender and angle (male or female, 90° or 45°), and style, from flat top buckets to terp slurpers and towers.
