Glossary

Device-fit case

A protective case with foam cutouts molded or shaped to a specific device — typically OEM accessory like the Puffco Peak Bag or Journey Bag. Foam suspends device away from impact zones; designated slots prevent rattle and accessory loss.

Mil-STD / mil-spec

Tested to US military durability standards — drop, vibration, temperature, immersion. Pelican cases including the 1050 carry mil-STD certification, meaning they survive cargo aircraft handling, drops onto concrete and exposure to weather.

IP67
