🧠 Our Verdict

A good pick if you run a terp slurper and want a pillar with character. It is a styling piece first. If you want a pillar to torch directly or to soak up heat, pick a quartz or ruby pillar instead, and keep the log for looks and spin.

Quick Summary

A terp slurper is a quartz banger with a column on top where pearls and pillars sit. Air pulls the melted concentrate down through the column and spins the pieces inside. The Gids Glass Log Pillar is one of those pieces. It is a short glass rod worked into a log shape, 24mm long and 7mm wide. It is sold one pillar at a time, so order two for a matched pair.

Gids Glass Log Pillar: A Handmade Log for Your Terp Slurper

The pillar is the part people watch. In a slurper, the pillar sits in the column and moves with the airflow. A log shape turns that moment into something to look at.

It is sized for the slurper column. At 24mm long and 7mm wide, the log sits upright in a slurper banger column.

It is glass, not quartz. That makes it a styling piece. Drop it in after you heat the banger, not before, and keep the torch off it.

You buy it one at a time. The listed price covers one pillar. Order two for a pair, or mix it with pearls and other pillars you already own.

⭐ Who This Product Is For / Not For

Ideal For:

• Terp slurper owners who want a styled pillar.
• Collectors of small glass dab accessories.
• Dabbers matching accessories to a rig.
• Anyone building a pillar and pearl set.

Not Recommended For:

• Direct torching. A glass pillar is not a quartz pillar; pick the Campfire Quartz 6x30mm Hollow Pillar for that.
• Flat top bangers. The pillar is built for a slurper column.
• Buyers who want a set. One purchase is one pillar.

Summary: Made for slurper owners who want style; not a torch-ready quartz pillar.

⚠️ Known Limitations

• Glass, not quartz. Keep the torch off it and add it after heating.
• Sold as one. The price is per pillar.
• Slurper only. It needs a slurper column to sit in.
• Small piece. At 24mm, it is easy to drop; handle it with a dab tool or tweezers.

Summary: Add it after heating, buy one per pillar, use it in a slurper and handle it with care.

🧼 How to Use & Troubleshooting

3. Drop the log pillar into the column with tweezers or a dab tool.
4. Add your dab and cap the slurper.
5. Draw slowly and watch the pillar move.

Cleaning: let the pillar cool, then soak it in isopropyl alcohol and rinse with warm water. Our cleaning and maintenance guide covers the alcohol soak, and AFM Glass vs. Heady Glass explains handmade glass from production glass.

Summary: Heat the banger first, drop the pillar in after, and clean it cool with alcohol.

⚖️ Comparison Table

Choose the log for style, ruby or sapphire for a gemstone pillar, or quartz for a plain working pillar.

Summary: Pick the glass log for looks, gemstone pillars for color, or quartz for direct heat.

💬 Common Questions & Answers

What is the Gids Glass Log Pillar?

It is a glass terp pillar shaped like a log, made by Gids Glass for use in a terp slurper banger. It measures 24mm long and 7mm wide. The pillar sits in the slurper column and moves with the airflow when you draw. The listed price of $39.99 covers one pillar, so order two if you want a pair.

Can I torch the pillar?

No. It is glass, not quartz, so keep it out of the flame. Heat your slurper banger with the pillar out of it, let the banger cool to your dab temperature, and then drop the pillar into the column with tweezers or a dab tool. Add your dab, cap the slurper and take a slow draw.

Will it fit my slurper?

It is built for a slurper column that takes a 7mm wide pillar. Before you order, check the inside width of your slurper column against that 7mm. If your slurper has a narrow or unusual column, measure it before you order. A pillar that is too small for the column can drop through into the bucket instead of sitting upright.

Is the price for one pillar or a pair?

The price is for one pillar. A slurper setup runs one pillar alongside pearls, so one log is enough to start. If you want a matched pair, add two to your cart. You can also mix the log with ruby or quartz pearls you already own for a custom slurper set.

How do I clean it?

Let the pillar cool completely after your session. Soak it in isopropyl alcohol until the residue loosens, then rinse it with warm water and let it dry. Handle it with tweezers so it does not roll off the counter. Cleaning it after each session keeps it moving freely in the slurper column.

Who is Gids Glass?

Gids Glass is the glass maker behind this log pillar. We did not find a public catalog for the maker, so this page sticks to what we know about the piece itself: a handmade glass log, 24mm by 7mm, for a terp slurper. Browse our heady glass and terp pillar collections for more handmade accessories.

Summary: A single 24mm glass log for a slurper, added after heating, cleaned cool, from Gids Glass.

🛒 Complete Your Setup

Add a slurper banger like the GRAV Quartz Control Tower Banger Set, a set of Glob Mops Slurper Mops for cleaning, or a rig from our Dab Rigs collection.

Summary: Pair the log pillar with a slurper banger, cleaning swabs and a rig.
