What is the Dr. Dabber Switch 2?

Dr. Dabber calls the Switch 2 the best e-rig it has ever developed. It heats a large 20mm insert by induction, and a built-in infrared sensor reads the insert's temperature directly, which Dr. Dabber has patented. The app controls temperatures, hold times, lighting and the three Dynamic Heating Modes.

Descent Mode starts hot and falls off like a quartz banger, Ascent Mode starts low and builds, and Steady Mode holds one temperature. Dr. Dabber's box includes the Switch 2, the Drop heated loading tool, a glass attachment, a carb cap, a USB-C cable and a charging adapter.

The Dr. Dabber Switch 2 Replacement Glass is the factory glass attachment with a laser-cut perc, for replacing a cracked or lost top or keeping a spare. Dr. Dabber also makes its own recycling upgrade, the Switch 2 Incycler Glass. When it is sold out on its own, look for the Switch 2 Incycler Bundle, which pairs the Switch 2 with the Incycler glass.

Calibear makes two joystick caps for the Switch 2: the Facet Opal, a faceted glass top around an opal center, and the sculpted Super Mushroom Man. Official Dr. Dabber glass or Calibear glass?

Dr. Dabber's own Switch 2 glass is the factory fit and the safe choice for a replacement. Calibear glass is third-party, from an independent company not affiliated with Dr. Dabber, and it adds designs Dr. Dabber does not make: spiral, Klein and Swiss perc recyclers, sphere-in-sphere splash guards and side draws, plus color work. The tradeoff is size: recycler tops are taller and wider than the stock glass and hold more water, so give the Switch 2 room on the table and keep the factory top as a spare.

How do I swap the glass on a Switch 2?

Let the Switch 2 cool completely, then lift off the carb cap and glass attachment.
Fill the new top with just enough water to cover the perc; too much splashes, too little stops a recycler from cycling.
Seat the new glass on the Switch 2 the same way the stock glass sits.
Load the insert with the Drop, set your heating mode and draw slowly.
Change the water every session or two and soak the glass in isopropyl alcohol with fine salt to clean it. Never run water into the device.

What should I know before buying?
