Empire Glassworks - Diapositiva de aguacate de 14 mm

It is gone, and that is the design. The Empire Glassworks Avocadope Slide 14mm is half an avocado with the pit missing, and the round hollow where the seed would sit is the bowl you pack. Empire's own product copy plays on it: the seed keeps an avocado fresh, so where did this one go? The hollow drops into a single-hole bowl, so the joke and the function are the same feature.

Same design family, different piece. The Empire Glassworks Avocadope Pipe is a 4" dry spoon pipe where the seed stays in and stands up as the bowl. The Empire Glassworks Avocadope Slide 14mm is a bowl piece for a water pipe, with the seed missing and the pit hollow as the bowl. The two are mirror images of the same idea, and both are stocked at Angies Boutique alongside the Avocadope Dabber, Mini Rig and Peak attachment.

A 14mm female joint. Empire Glassworks list the Avocadope Bowl Piece as "14.5mm Male; Direct Inject." The 14.5mm figure is the measured size of what the industry calls a standard 14mm joint, not a different fitting, so the Empire Glassworks Avocadope Slide 14mm fits any bong, water pipe or downstem with a 14mm female joint. It does not fit 10mm or 18mm joints, and no adapter is included.

The Empire Glassworks Avocadope Slide 14mm is a single-hole bowl, per Empire's own feature list. The single hole sits at the bottom of the pit hollow and keeps flower in the bowl better than a wide opening does. Grind to a medium consistency so nothing pulls through, and if a fine grind does slip, place a slightly larger piece at the bottom of the hollow as a plug before packing the rest.

On purpose. Empire Glassworks blow a frit texture — crushed glass — below the shell of the avocado to give the skin a realistic feel, so the Empire Glassworks Avocadope Slide 14mm has the pebbled surface of a ripe avocado. The texture also gives your fingers grip when lifting a warm bowl. The trade-off is cleaning: residue settles into the texture, so the Avocadope needs a longer soak than smooth glass.

No. The Empire Glassworks Avocadope Slide 14mm is a bowl piece only, about 2" × 2" × 1" and 36 grams. The box holds one Avocadope bowl and nothing else — no water pipe, no adapter, no screen and no case. You need a bong or water pipe with a 14mm female joint to use it. Angies Boutique stocks 14mm water pipes and the wider Avocadope set at 838 N Broadway in Los Angeles.
