Empire lists it at 3.1 inches long, 1.75 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall, with a weight of 178 grams. That is a palm-sized pipe that closes inside a hand and slips into a pocket or a small case. The flat, block-shaped base also means it sits still on a table instead of rolling off, which suits a glass piece.
A push bowl is a bowl pressed directly into the glass with a single small hole at the bottom. The hole acts as a built-in screen, so a medium grind stays in the bowl and you do not need a metal screen. If your grind is very fine, a little can pull through; a slightly coarser grind fixes that.
The carb is on the left side of the pipe. Holding it in your right hand puts your thumb right over it. Cover it while you light and draw, then lift your thumb to clear the smoke from the chamber. Left-handed smokers can still use it comfortably by covering the carb with an index finger.
No. The musubi pipe is a dry herb hand pipe with a push bowl designed for ground flower. Concentrates would coat the glass and clog the bowl hole. For dabs, look at a dab rig or a concentrate vaporizer. Empire makes food-themed dabbers too, if you want matching dab tools.
Close, but not identical. Every musubi pipe is worked by hand at Empire Glassworks, so the rice texture, the exact pink of the slice and the width of the seaweed band vary slightly from piece to piece. The shape, size, push bowl and left-side carb stay the same on every one.
Let it cool fully. Drop it into a sealable bag with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt, seal it and shake so the salt scrubs inside the bowl and chamber. Rinse with warm water and let it dry. Never run hot glass under cold water, because the temperature shock cracks it. A pipe cleaner clears the bowl hole.
