HighBrid is Bear Quartz's name for its hybrid-bottom banger. Instead of choosing a flat bottom or a round bottom, the bucket combines the two shapes, so one bucket carries the strengths of both shapes. The HighBrid Pro is the upgraded version, with a full weld joint and a deeper bucket than the standard HighBrid.
Bear Quartz lists two upgrades for the Pro: a full weld joint and a deeper bucket. The full weld joins the joint to the bucket all the way around, and the deeper bucket holds a larger dab and more quartz. Both share the hybrid round-and-flat bottom, the 25mm width and the beveled top. We carry the Pro version.
Match your rig. Check whether the rig's joint is 10mm or 14mm female, then look at its angle. A rig with a horizontal joint takes a 90° banger so it stands upright, and a rig with an angled joint takes a 45° banger. If you are unsure of your joint size, compare it with a 14mm bowl or slide you already own.
Any cap made for a 25mm bucket. The Bear Quartz Bubble Cap lists 22mm and 25mm bangers, so it is a natural pairing, and a directional cap lets you steer airflow across the hybrid bottom. The beveled top gives the cap a clean place to sit, which helps it control the airflow instead of letting it leak around the edge.
Longer than a thin, shallow banger. The deeper bucket holds more quartz, and more quartz holds heat longer, which is exactly why Bear Quartz pitches it for heat retention. Heat it evenly, then wait before loading, and use a temperature gauge if you want repeatable results. Too hot scorches the dab; too cool leaves puddles.
Swab it while it is still warm with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol, which removes residue before it bakes on. For a deeper clean, let it cool completely and soak it in alcohol. Never put cold liquid into hot quartz, because the temperature shock cracks it. A clean banger heats more evenly.
